I was a Tanker from 83 to 87 and can state without a bit of doubt that his claims are complete bullshit. I know many people like him and one is a friend I once called a best friend, but once I located this friends old ship mates he was found to be a complete poser. Claimed he was detailed by the Navy to leave the USSRanger as Turd Chaser and go inland and commence in voluntary ground combat for 30 plus days.
