Was still going through Boot Camp , Great Lakes at the end of the Vietnam War in 1975. He was then assigned to a ship that was stationed in the Atlantic Ocean. He has failed to file for any correction of his records to show Vietnam waters or Vietnam boots on ground. In actuality the correction SHOULD be removal of the Vietnam Service Medal which has obviously been added to the file in error since he was at boot camp when the war ended in April 1975.
Can we get a picture??? I was on one of those ships when he claims to be there and my husband also along with several FB friends including weaponeers. BUT we engineers do not forget a face….
I knew Gary Laverne Briggs while a CPO at FTC Norfolk, one of his last duty stations. He wore Vietnam service ribbons on his uniform that I questioned then. His downfall there included Stealing a Lt's uniform, using and wearing it for obtaining credit and other stuff. A long time ago and a little hazy. But I vividly remember him sitting at my desk minutes before his Captains Mast blubbering like a baby. I finally had to tell him to buck up, be man, and go face the music. I also think I had to visit him in the brig once or twice. He was an accomplished Bullshitter then, A poser? Yep .
I had retired but Al Vredenberg was Master Chief of command and Brigs played in a band and was stalking a lady I worked with. Had to call Al and get him straight. Oh I know all about this nut
So how did this guy go from GMG1 to GMGSR?
Could you give me an e-mail to reach you by Dan ? It is very urgent that I speak with you please. I'll make sure that the address isn't published.
