BACKGROUND
William John Hightower AKA “Bill” comes to us from Hudson, FL. He is originally from Newtown Square PA, a suburb of Philadelphia.
Besides the ball cap in the above photo implying Bill’s service with SEAL Team III, he directly claims on Twitter that he was a SEAL sniper when listing other exploits.
Hightower’s Facebook page is littered with references to his service with the SEALs.
Hightower claims he spent 48 years in the US Navy and got out as a Chief Petty Officer (E-7).

Hightower reinforces that he was a U.S. Navy SEAL, in SPEC OPS, and served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 2009 many times over on his Facebook profile…
Hightower was not found in the BUD/S database, so a real SEAL challenged Bill and asked him what training class he was in after Bill commented on a photo depicting SEALs in action.

ACTIONS CONDUCTED BY MILITARY PHONIES
After contacting the UDT/SEAL archives, the Naval Special Warfare Center and checking the UDT/SEAL database we found that there is NO record of William John Hightower ever completing BUD/S Training or being assigned to a SEAL Team.
William John Hightower’s records were requested through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

CRIMINAL RECORDS
Based on the dates of the following felonies and misdemeanors, Bill Hightower could not have served in the US Navy as a SEAL. In fact, it may have been difficult to stay in the US Navy with the criminal record that he has put together.

SUMMARY & DISCUSSION
Based on Hightower’s FOIA Summary Sheet, it shows that he did just under 4 years of active duty in the Navy and not the 48 + years that he claimed. Bill was discharged as a Seaman Recruit (SR) E-1 vs. his claim of being a Chief (E-7).
There is no record of Bill Hightower attending BUD/S, NO jump school, and NO SEAL Command. Hightower was stationed on the USS Bailey (DDR-713).
Bill Hightower’s military records do not support his claims.

This is with out a doubt the biggest POS I have seen on this site.48 years in the Navy!!!! and you can’t even spell Chief correctly. I do not discuss my class number, really like that is classified. Didn’t even make 4 full years AND gets out as an E-1? Sounds like he must’ve been a captains mast regular. Wonder if he got a general discharge or a BCD?
I’m so grateful for this website. I am a Marine Vietnam Veteran. My son in law is a decorated Marine officer. My grandson is an NROTC Midshipman (Marine Corps Option) at a west coast university. Nice eval marks there, Hightower. Can’t make it through TM “A” School, rocks out, goes to fleet as a deck ape (no shame in that) but such a dirtbag he can’t even manage 3.0 marks on his evals? Oh yeah, he’s perfect SEAL material
It makes me sick to see guys representing themselves as Navy Seals when my Navy buddies and I hold the Seals in very high regard!
I proudly served 26 years in the Navy with NCIS, and Mobile expeditionary security units with multiple tours in the Iraq and throughout the Middle East.
We should be able to place these guys back on active duty so they can be court martialed!!!
