Raymond A. Labbe – USMC Recon, Sniper, Disabled Vet, Blog of Shame

Labbe - Dossier_new
BACKGROUND AND CLAIMS

Raymond Armand Labbe claims to work at the U.S. Army Warfighting Center at Fort Rucker, Alabama with professional skills of US Marine Corps Sniper and Recon Marine.

He also claims to be a disabled veteran in the above profile from his Facebook page.

Labbe claims he was in the Marines, either through direct statements or implication.

Labbe has a unique background and set of skills, having studied battle strategy and tactics at the university level and is employed in both landscape design and as a sniper.

Labbe displays an impressive arsenal of weaponry in support of his lethal tradecraft, if indeed the weapons are owned by him.

Labbe was asked about his service through a Private Message (PM) on Facebook and the response back on his account was by someone claiming to be his wife.

Not wanting to add to the difficulty he was having talking about his service, a Freedom of Information Act request was initiated for Raymond Labbe’s records. This request was made to the Headquarters, United States Marine Corps since there were claims he was still in active service.

SUMMARY AND DISCUSSION

The results for the Department of Defense Manpower Data Center are for 01 JAN 2012, which would cover Labbe’s claim of working at the US Army Warfighting Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama as a sniper with the USMC. In addition to the provided results, the database was searched systematically from 1985, when Raymond A. Labbe would have been 15-16 years old, and every year up to and including 2016. The results displayed as no service in any branch of the U.S. Military.

Simple inquiries were made and no employee by the name of Raymond A. Labbe is employed at the US Army Warfighting Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Raymond Labbe does show up on some other databases, however. Unflattering ones.

Since this 02 Aug 2006 arrest in Pasco County, Florida was for charges of FRAUD and PAROLE VIOLATION, it would imply Labbe has served time in jail or prison. This alone would be problematic for him obtaining a security clearance to be able to work at the US Army Warfighting Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama. It would also make it difficult for him to be in the U.S. Marine Corps unless this occurred after his military service. Then again, the USMC and all branches display no military service for him.

Domestic Assault Charges: http://www.centralmaine.com/2011/12/23/waterville-district-court_2011-12-22/

These charges are in late 2011 so would have also been problematic for Labbe working as a sniper at the US Army Warfighting Center in Fort Rucker, Alabama.

Since it is obvious that Labbe has served prison time being convicted of at least one felony, how is he permitted to own firearms if in fact they are his? Providing him the benefit of the doubt, maybe the firearms are not his. If that is the case, how can he be a sniper or train snipers if he is not allowed to possess a firearm?

Then, there is the GoFundMe accounts leading off with a plea for help claiming to be a disabled veteran…

GoFundMe: https://www.gofundme.com/bjpk84c4

Most of us would have sympathy for a disabled veteran that is living in and out of shelters, can’t afford medication and is trying to keep his family together. However, Labbe does not appear to be truthful about the disabled veteran status according to the inquires we have made.

Labbe also appears to be an advocate of marijuana use and has several pictures of him smoking on his Facebook page. May we suggest that the money spent on this habit could be used more wisely? May we also suggest that the legal system may not see this as an appropriate environment for children and could impact his stated goal of “i want my daughter back”?

Labbe’s personal habits and his family life are his business and go beyond the goal of this post, but we felt it was important for people to be informed should they consider making a donation to help him get on his feet and get him the necessary medication he needs. GoFundMe represents the wild west, meaning people can be who they want to be. Often when someone says they are on or need medication, it simply means “self-prescribed medication”.

The bottom line is Raymond Arman Labbe’s service claims are not supported by the results of inquiries we made to obtain his official military records.
