Shane Kunzeman, US Army Ranger, Blog of Shame

Shane Kunzeman comes to us from Palm Harbor Florida where he has been operating an online website called ” Your New Life.”

The purpose of his website is to offer people the opportunity to have his business write a professional resumes  at a set cost.
One of our sources decided to use his business and  contacted Mr Kunzeman, which he sent the following reply.
Our source decided to have Mr Kunzeman’s claim of being an Army Ranger investigated and contacted our staff using the report form we provide.
Actions conducted by Military Phonies
We contacted the Ranger Training Battalion(RTB) in Fort Benning Georgia to see if Mr Kunzeman had a Ranger class number. The results were negative. With this information, Mr Kunzeman was approached by one of our investigators on his Facebook page.
Once Mr kunzeman confirmed that he is a US Army Veteran with multiple deployments to different countries and multiple”Ranger” units assigned to, we checked the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) website.

After seeing on SCRA that Mr Kunzeman did serve on active duty in the US Army, we  filed for Mr Kunzeman’s military service record using the privileges provided under the Freedom Of Information Act. (FOIA)

Summary and Conclusion
Mr Kunzeman did serve in the United States Army from Dec. 10, 2001 until Jan. 11, 2005( SCRA). He held the MOS of 92A10 from March 2, 2001 until Jan. 12, 2005 (dd-214).
The MOS 92A10 is that of a Automated Logistical Specialist.  The Automated Logistical Specialist job is primarily responsible for supervising and performing management of warehouse functions in order to maintain equipment records and parts.
Mr Kunzeman’s had one permanent duty assignment with the 1st Bn 214 Aviation Co. which is now 214th Aviation Regt. Stationed in Germany with the highest rank of E-4.
Gathering all of this information together, According to the service record on file with the NPRC,we don’t see that Mr Shane Kunzeman was ever a Tabbed US Army Ranger. Nor was he ever assigned to any US Army Special Operation Commands. Furthermore Mr Kunzeman’s medals, ribbons, badges and decorations listed in block 13 on his dd-214 are the National Defense Service Medal, The Army Service Ribbon, The Overseas Service Ribbon  and the Global War On Terrorism Service Medal. He does not have the Parachute Badge. Which would be a needed requirement to parachute from an airplane in the US Army. No Campaign medals are listed either. His service record doesn’t show that he was stationed or deployed anywhere else other than the USA and Germany.
We were also contacted by one of Mr Kunzeman’s coworkers when they were employed with Asymmetric Warfare Group.(AWP)
