He was first exposed in Dec. 2011, We recieved another alert in Feb of 2015 that he is still telling the same lie.

His only active duty time was for training. He never left the CONUS during his enlistment. He was a Motor Transport Operator and Infantryman. Discharged as an ( E-3 )

Awards_claimed: He doesn’t mention awards. He spins his tale of being a Pow during desert storm. His captures repeatedly tortured him and broke his toes /ankle numerous times. He claims to be Special Forces.

Name does not ring a bell.  As you know only 1/75 was involved with the first Gulf war, and I know for a fact that were no POWs.  Another thing, once you leave a classified unit, your records are no longer classified, and his POW medal and PH would be open source.  Sounds like  he is FOS!

NOT held as a POW.

12/2011 OK John W. Stoneburgh, age 44.  Claims to have been a Army Ranger during the Gulf War and a POW.

Claims he was in from 89 to 91.  Was discharged when he got back and re-enlisted in 2003 or 2004.

Claims to have been rescued by SEAL Team as a POW during Gulf War.  He claims his service record was sealed and classified.  Also claims to have been kept in a 5x5x5 cell and the Iraq’s broke his legs multiple times while he was a POW.

He claims everything is classified.
