I just saw your story on M.S. Smith. I know Sonny, this is a dis-grace what you have done here. Someone is trying hard to ruin this man. YOU HAVE THE WRONG RECORDS. Somehow this is a terrible mistake, Mr.Smith was long out of the Army, was a civilian working in Eureka Springs as a cook during the dates listed on the records you are showing. Please confirm your info and get the truth out there to clear this man’s name.

I’m not ex army but a retired sailor. BT1 USN ret. how long is typical for someone to advance in rank in the army from E-4 to E-8 ? Seems seven years is quite fast in a non wartime situation. The guy from Nevada was a corporal in 91 and actually put that on the Elko newspaper website but didn’t show any more than a DD-214 that indicates he was discharged after being active in support of desert storm but doesn’t show any evidence of his being in theater. Could have been what we called in the navy a mess deck maa? Not sure if I would have ever put my dad-214 on the internet either
MY Military Service:
2.5 years in the Naval Sea Cadet Corps
6 mos in the Coast Guard (Observation)
9.5 mos in the US Army
I have haters online that are attacking me because I transferred into govt work after my 9.5 mos in the Army. They say I washed out, despite my discharge being general under honorable conditions. I was NOT a washout, and I had no probs getting to my first permanent duty station.
The irony is that my attackers claim service, but to my knowledge have never produced anything to confirm it. One of them is even a convicted criminal. Now they are attacking my father’s service, a WW2 veteran. Plz contact me via email. I’d like for these people to leave me & my father alone!
