eff you POS! Jesus may forgive you, but the innerwebz will never forget you. Some sympathy for your family. For you…NONE.AT.ALL!!! You are just sorry that your lying, embellishing azz got caught.
He did the right thing by apologizing. I guarantee it was a very humbling experience
I choose to believe that Mr Edwards is sincere with his apology. I also choose to believe that this kind of behavior will never happen again…at least as far as Mr Edwards is concerned.
May he go with God.
Cancer survivor? Like that makes it OK? I know plenty of cancer survivors that don’t make up big fat lies about stolen valor. BTW, congrats on making E4 in 8 years, deadwood.
He is a bigger man than most that have had their “service” highlighted hear. I hope that you can go on to strive for bigger things in your life and peace.
With all that he read from his prepared statements, it seems to be the best one can hope for. I for one will say that it took a ton of courage to make his oration
This is a first for this forum. I would dispense with the mitigating circumstances as it diminishes the purpose of the apology.
1) The Jimmy Swaggart defense is soooo appropriate for this canned and hollow performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWkVa-_sd24
2) Still trying to hoist a halo over his own head…. “cancer survivor”, “Jesus will show me”, “God is my light”, blah-blah-blah.
3) There is NOTHING heartfelt or believable about this faux apology.
4) There is NO contrition that I can see and he is only sorry that he got caught & called out.
Just like Mr. Edwards…. Sorry, Not Sorry.
Blames everyone but himself. I guess the simpering tone of his voice is supposed to elicit sympathy. He sounds like the local chapter president of the Michael Jackson Fan Club.
I’d think that a simple “hey folks I cant even begin to justify my HORRIBLE behavior and I’m sorry for being a fake service member”
Opportunities missed may never be afforded again my fake azz.
As a Chaplain with a DAV Chapter, it is My Responsibility to be the Spiritual Leader. Mr. Edwards did the Proper thing in Apologizing. In my Lifetime, I have been given so many second chances, I could never count them. That being said, Forgiveness allows us to be free of Hate or Animosity towards those who may hav wronged us, or lied. I know that if we cannot forgive each other, than Christ Death on the Cross was in Vain.
