I choose to believe that Mr Edwards is sincere with his apology. I also choose to believe that this kind of behavior will never happen again…at least as far as Mr Edwards is concerned.
Cancer survivor? Like that makes it OK? I know plenty of cancer survivors that don’t make up big fat lies about stolen valor. BTW, congrats on making E4 in 8 years, deadwood.
He is a bigger man than most that have had their “service” highlighted hear. I hope that you can go on to strive for bigger things in your life and peace.

This is a first for this forum. I would dispense with the mitigating circumstances as it diminishes the purpose of the apology.
Blames everyone but himself. I guess the simpering tone of his voice is supposed to elicit sympathy. He sounds like the local chapter president of the Michael Jackson Fan Club.
As a Chaplain with a DAV Chapter, it is My Responsibility to be the Spiritual Leader. Mr. Edwards did the Proper thing in Apologizing. In my Lifetime, I have been given so many second chances, I could never count them. That being said, Forgiveness allows us to be free of Hate or Animosity towards those who may hav wronged us, or lied. I know that if we cannot forgive each other, than Christ Death on the Cross was in Vain.
