BACKGROUND

Robert Allen Glaub comes to us from Torrington, Wyoming. Glaub is 56 years old as of October 2019. He goes by “Rob” and also by his nickname – “Goosinator.” He also uses the last name “Glaub-Leonello.”

Glaub posted some photos on line that depicted himself in an Army uniform with various valor medals. The uniform was that of a U.S. Army Staff Sergeant (SSG / E-6) with 15 years of service designated by the five service stripes on the sleeve. One Army service stripe denotes three years of service.

Upon closer inspection of the medals he is wearing, one can clearly see the Silver Star, the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star Medal. Also, a U.S. Army Parachutist’s Badge is displayed.

We were not certain of one medal due to it being obscured behind the lapel, but a case can be made for it being the Distinguished Flying Cross or the Prisoner of War. Again, we cannot tell from the photo. The order of precedence is also thrown off that allows for an educations guess. In addition, there appears to be a Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal which has the awards deviate from the U.S. Army.

Below is our best guess at the medals, with a photo for comparison…

To be fair, the photo does appear odd in that the yellow t-shirt and lack of U.S. Army dress pants produces the possibility that Glaub came across a relative’s uniform jacket, tried it on and snapped a photo. However, he labeled the photo as a “U.S. ARMY – I SERVED SOLDIER FOR LIFE.”

Many were skeptical and asked Military Phony to look into these claims.

ACTIONS CONDUCTED BY MILITARY PHONIES

Robert Allen Glaub’s military records were ordered through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

FOIA RESULTS

NATIONAL PERSONNEL RECORDS CENTER (NPRC)

NPRC – FOIA Results – Robert Allen Glaub – Summary Sheet

HISTORY

Robert’s father, who died in 1998, served in Korea and Vietnam according to his obituary.

No Silver Star databases listed a “Glaub” for either the Korean War or the Vietnam War. Therefore, it is doubtful that it was his father’s medals on the jacket.

The following newspaper article established Robert Glaub as being in the Air National Guard vs. the U.S. Army.

DISCUSSION and SUMMARY

Military records for Robert A. Glaub show that he served in the U.S. Air Force vs. the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1994, so less than the 15 years that his service stripes claim.

Oddly enough, there is no rank listed on the NPRC Summary Sheet which we think was a mistake by being overlooked.

As mentioned above, there is no “Glaub” recorded as having been awarded a Silver Star in any of the online databases.

There is no Purple Heart, no Bronze Star Medal and no Parachutist’s Badge listed in Glaub’s official military records.

STOLEN VALOR

If the claims by Robert Glaub were used to leverage work, military or civilian promotions, or anything else of value, he may be in violation of Stolen Valor laws. State laws may also apply.

Good job on making a soup sandwich of your life and dishonoring yourself, the US Air Force, and the Wyoming Air National Guard dipsh^t, Robert A. Glaub. Welcome to the world of Google Infamy. To get the award of Purple Heart and Silver Star, you need to do actions worthy of such awards. As it is, due to your lying and embellishing , whatever good you did to be allowed to steal oxygen from deserving Warriors has been negated. People like you make me sick. Rot in hell while Satan devours your worthless soul…. BITCH!

  2. Dan Johnson says:

He’s having a meltdown on IM with me right now. Says this was “investigated” months ago. Have at him.

    • Dan Johnson says:

I invited him to come on here and address this. a FB friend of his said he: 1) was in Grenada, and 2) his records proving his awards were in an “accident” in WY. Then, he wants to meet “in the field” with me at 600 yards” to prove everything. Moron.

  3. John Holland says:

Not real sure how to address Glaub’s uniform(?) photo? Medals not in correct precedence, mixed branch awards, even an American Defense Service Medal issued from 1939-1941? I’m really not sure how to comment, but am feeling charitable and saying it good he lives in Torrington, WY which isn’t heavy populated…I be careful not to drive through Veteran, WY as those boys will have a BOLO out on him. Hello at least he didn’t claim to be a SEAL. Get some help before someone stomps you for stealing

    • Rob Glaub says:

I would issue it is what it is a costume the uniform isn’t even complete the name pleading in the right place don’t have blue ropes it’s a f****** costume

  4. Karl Shumaker says:

Eleven or so years in the USAF, aircraft maintenance, entirely satisfactory. Maybe not glamorous but then most miltary service can be monotonous while being useful. Most of the men with half of the medals this guy bought at a pawnshop would trade for monotonous any day. Eleven years, over the hump go for 20 and retire. Why quit? Admin mistake of no rank or was he given the option out of the air guard ’cause he could not hack the job? He opened the door with being a phony. Dig further and find out why the USAF dumped him.

  5. Michael Maynard says:

That’s definitely the DFC that clown is wearing. And a WW2 Europe-Africa-ME campaign medal? That moron isn’t even trying or he’s just too damned stupid to know what he’s claiming to have.

    • Mike says:

The WW2E/A/ME award cutoff was 2 March 1946, or about 17 years before this clown was spawned. And the ADM was for service between 1939 and 7 Dec 1941…..what a pluperfect ass. Can’t wait for TAH fire missions on this one.

  6. […] folks at Military Phony send us their work on this Robert Allen Glaub fella.  Robert is 56 years old as of Oct 2019 and […]

  7. James P Harris says:

I challenged this cheese dick several months ago when he surfaced on facebook…..sent him my own beret with 7th Gp flash….dumbass meter was all over the place

    • Rob Glaub says:

You didn’t send me s*** dumbass all you guys did was harass me why don’t you keep your eyes you didn’t send me no Beret no flash no nothing keep your lies to yourself dumbass

  8. rgr769 says:

This dude’s uniform jacket is a joke. He is sporting unauthorized novelty jump wings, a jumble of ribbons in the wrong order of precedence that he could not have earned, a yellow rope for a dope that no active army unit wears, a special forces patch lacking the “airborne” tab, and an improper location for the name tag. To top it off, he wears the most ridiculous pair of marksmanship badges I have ever seen; he would have to have qualified with every weapon the Army issued since the Revolutionary War. Finally, he wears his beret like a pastry chef, but with a flash for the 7th SF Group but minus the crest. He is one total soup sandwich of a poser.

  9. Rob Glaub says:

You know this was hashed out 7/8 months ago I was investigated and I was proven innocent now who keeps making these posts is bulshit you’re a coward that uniform is it costume nothing more nothing less it is Politically Incorrect it made to be that way the Army uses blue ropes my name tag isn’t even in the right place but you dumbasses want to come to your own conclusions you are worse then what that photo is cuz you’re nothing but a bunch of harassing son of a b****** because it is a federal law that you cannot harass a disabled veteran which I am Eric specially at his place of work which you are doing the only reason why this post is there it’s because they could not find me is Valor theft months ago so you people want to keep on going harassing which shows how little you are any information you got I am already past 56 years old it my birthday sure in the hell isn’t in October so who’s ever making these bulshit things Bring It On they cleared me of it before they’ll clear of me again you people don’t know what the hell you’re talkin about you don’t even have the information right you’re getting me Legal Information in re manufacturing it

    • We know your birthday isn’t in October, but it is currently October. It says you are 56 y/o as of this month. This is a true statement.

If it is a costume, as you claim, why put the labeling of “soldier for life.” I don’t buy it.

    • HMCS(FMF) ret says:

      Punctuation, Bobby…use it!

    • R Grace MEIHUIZEN says:

OMG..who wrote that? Back to grammar school you go…

    • Michael Maynard says:

Tell us, Sparky. What “politically incorrect” message were you intending to send with your clown costume and “Soldier for life” pic? The Army doesn’t use a “blue rope.” You see, to send a “message” one must be at least semi-intelligent. Your clown costume and lack of simple writing ability show us that you are nothing but an imbecile.

Who is this “they” that supposedly “investigated” and “cleared” you? What did they investigate and clear you of?

    • Chilidog67 says:

What I know about Army uniform regs would fill about half a double-spaced page; but when I saw the photo for this one the first time with all the badges and candy-wrappers I thought “costume”.
The incoherent rambling above, complete with the ‘this was already looked at” bit, actually made me rethink that. “…doth protest too much”. Should have just said “It’s a costume folks. Sorry if anyone is confused. Shouldn’t have used the soldier tag but ‘Airman for Life’ wasn’t available. My bad.”

  10. Grubby Mittz says:

Trick or Treat, Sparky! Next time wear the Belly Dancer costume and just be the slovenly illiterate disgrace that the Lord intended. We’ll leave you alone then.

  11. Anonymous says:

And that stuffed raccoon… did he hit the poor thing with a car before it died or what?

  12. GK69 says:

Some folks just didn’t raise their children properly.

  13. Corpsmanup says:

Quick Question/s are there any social media posts , or hometown newspaper articles whereby he portrays himself as having earned/ rate these awards?
Could it be possible that he is telling the truth? This could be in fact a bad costume run amok. Of course better judgement could be used , but honestly unless he’s out passing himself off as a decorated soldier then he deserves the benefit of the doubt. Bad costume , but yet maybe an explanation. Just my .02 as an Iraq Vet – anyone’s who disagrees I respect those viewpoints.

    • rgr769 says:

Uh, no. There is no way this semi-literate clown is telling the truth.

  14. James Houk says:

Army personnel will not wear more than 3 clasps on marksmanship badges. AR 670-1 29-16 (b) I guess that don’t apply if you were never actually in the Army, right Bobby?

  15. Phil Millard says:

Definitely a Shit Sandwich. Keep living the lie Robert Allen Glaub, we love saturating social media with POSERS like.
