BACKGROUND

Ellsworth Dewey Skidmore III, who goes by the nickname “Butch” comes to us from McSherrytown, Pennsylvania. Butch is 40 years old as of April 2019.

In a recent article by S.A. Miller of the Washington Times entitled “Voters in 2020 battleground state struggle to excuse Trump’s hiring of illegal immigrants,” Butch Skidmore was quoted in regard to his opinion of Trump allegedly employing illegal immigrants.

Since this was carried as an Associated Press article, it reached many newspapers.

It was determined that Butch Skidmore’s real name is Ellsworth Dewey Skidmore III.

We checked the BUD/S-SEAL Database and his name was not listed under “Butch” or “Ellsworth.”

DISCUSSION and SUMMARY

SUMMARY SHEET

Butch Skidmore official military records show that he completed 29 days of active duty and never finished boot camp.

He was not listed as ever being a Navy SEAL. There was not enough time in the military to complete the training.

Nothing in Butch’s military records support a claim of him being a Navy SEAL.

NEWSPAPER ARTICLE

To be fair, he was not quoted directly as being a Navy SEAL, but if it was the reporter getting it wrong on the writeup – how could he be so specific and get this so wrong?

Why didn’t Butch say something after he saw it in the paper? Unless he never read the paper.

In any case, there is a good chance that many of the people that know Butch most likely think of him as a former Navy SEAL – either prior to seeing this article or after seeing it. Some have contacted us and got us to give this a look.

Was there an effort made by Butch to correct this article if he had no part in the Navy SEAL claim?

We don’t know, but we just wanted to clear up any misconceptions – Butch Skidmore was not a Navy SEAL.

We reached out to the writer of the article – S.A. Miller of the Washington Times – but have not heard back. Also, to be fair, the statement about Butch being a former Navy SEAL was not critical to the article unless it in some way bolstered a political point that Butch was making.

“Skidmark” Skidmore is nothing more than a skidmark in the underwear of life. F’en POS.

  4. Thomas Owens says:

All these phonies seem to be Navy Seals, Green Beret, Special Forces, Rangers, etc. you never see one claiming to be an E-4. I guess if you’re going to lie, lie big. I’m a Vietnam Vet with the 101st Airborne. Years ago nobody wanted to admit they served, but now it’s the “IN” thing.

  5. rgr769 says:

Just another in the never ending supply of fake SEALS. They seem to outnumber Rangers, Special Forces and other spec ops organizations by a about a factor of three or four to one. This dumb bastard could not even approach the Gunga Dan Line (110 days) with only 29 days on active duty. But he did exceed the TAH record of only 16 days active duty.
