After contacting the UDT/SEAL archives, the Naval Special Warfare Center and checking the UDT/SEAL database we found that there is NO record of Rafael Jesus Pons or Lee Pons ever completing BUD/S Training or being assigned to a SEAL Team.

We checked the DoD Manpower database systematically for “Rafael Jesus Pons” and “Lee Pons” for each year since 1984 to 2018.
There was no active duty service listed for him.
