Frederick John Ferguson comes to us from Clearwater Beach, FL. Military Phonies was alerted about Fred’s claims of being a Navy SEAL. Based on his Facebook page he must have spent thousands of dollars on SEAL shirts attempting to locate the largest Trident ever created on a shirt. Also, he must have spent thousands of dollars on an amazing “Navy SEAL” tattoo. This will all become clear as you review the pics.

Now, a friend of his spouse commented on the picture using statements such as “He was a Navy seal?? Omg they are kick a**”, then another states “Good husband, good looking, former Navy Seal”, “You won the prize —” and “Now you are bragging!! So happy for you both!! Thanks for your service”
Here is where we saw a tattoo, we couldn’t make it out at first. We weren’t sure what the hell it was supposed to be.

ACTIONS CONDUCTED BY MILITARY PHONIES
After contacting the UDT/SEAL archives, the Naval Special Warfare Center and checking the UDT/SEAL database we found that there is NO record of Frederick John Ferguson ever completing BUD/S Training or being assigned to a SEAL Team.
Frederick John Ferguson’s records were requested through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
Based on Fred’s summary sheet, he did just over 2 years, 11 months and 16 days of active service. Fred was released from active duty as an E-2, SA – Seaman Apprentice. His service record shows no BUD/S, no SEAL Team.

He needs to be publicly outed with the Clearwater/Tampa area media and at all of his local hang outs to let those around him know he’s a piece of shit liar steeling valor from those who’ve earned it. We have a decent amount of retired team guys in that area. Did this one get displayed through Don Shipley’s phony Navy SEAL of the Week?
As far as the case being publicly outed through the Clearwater/Tampa area – I agree with you but there is only so much we can do. The caseload is piled very high. To do this effectively, it involves a local understanding of the media, meaning who does what (soft stories vs. hard hitting stories, etc) and who would be interested. If you live there or know of somebody that does, perhaps a well-placed email or phone call would get the ball rolling and we would certainly appreciate the help.
As to your question – this case was not featured through Don Shipley’s phony Navy SEAL of the Week as far as we know. We both respect and applaud Shipley’s efforts, but Military Phonies is not associated with Don Shipley.
Regarding Shipley, we respect what he is doing. If there is a story that he featured we would give him credit. If you conduct a search in this individual you’ll see where Fred is publicly outed.

By far the stupidest tattoo I have ever seen. Team guys don’t wear shirts like that. In the 80s we used to wait for guys to get off the ships in the PI sporting that shit….none of the offenders returned in the same condition they left the ship in.
