Timothy Dale Todd Key comes to us from Moncks Corner, SC.  Timothy was confronted on Facebook with claims of being a SEAL and a Hospital Corpsman (HM) at SEAL Team Three.  FYI Timothy has since deleted his Facebook account.

Looks like Timothy has an Official Navy SEAL coffee mug from SEAL Team Three, I’m sure there’s no way he could order this off the internet.  He personalized it with Tim “Doc” Key.  He was thanked for his service by his Facebook friends.

Timothy found a stock photo on the internet and claimed he is in the picture, come on.  A simple search saying something like “Navy SEALs on a sub” will provide you the picture on the first page.

He says “that is me, in the left front of the photo.”  Haha…  I guess that does look like him, they do have matching elbows…

After being confronted, Timothy makes a vague clarification, a piss poor apology, and admission to being a fake SEAL.

After contacting the UDT/SEAL archives, the Naval Special Warfare Center and checking the UDT/SEAL database we found that there is NO record of Timothy Dale Todd Key ever completing BUD/S Training or being assigned to a SEAL Team.

Timothy Dale Todd Key’s records were requested through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

Based on Timothy’s DD-214, he did just under 4 years of active service. Key was discharged as an E-3, AOAN.  His service record shows no BUD/S, and no SEAL Team.   No commands with any SEAL Team.  He wasn’t even a Hospital Corpsman…
