Training Details:
Job training consists of One Station Unit Training for 15 weeks at Fort Knox Kentucky. In additiion to basic soldiering skills learned in the basic training portion of OSUT, Armor Crewmen are trained in the following skills: assisting in target detection and identification, loading and firing guns, operating two-way radios and signaling equipment to receive and relay battle orders, pPlacing turrets in operations, operating main gun controls and firing controls, operating tracked and wheeled vehicles over varied terrain, securing battle positions, operating internal communications equipment, selecting tank routes, positioning vehicles in firing positions, and reading maps, compasses and battle plans.
He was stationed in Germany during Operation
Desert Storm. He was never in a Combat Zone
and not a Special Forces Soldier.
