Claims of being in Desert Storm. Also claimed to have been injured by shrapnel from a mortar that exploded behind him and went into his lower back. Claims to have been in a hospital in Germany for surgery. Claims did not receive the purple heart because they weren’t supposed to be where they were.

Why do they always hve the Silver Star? Dip sticks….
That is a silver star on his Good Conduct. Which means including the medal itself. He was awarded the Good Conduct Medal 6 times.
He should have been an easy out to anyone that encountered him. The American Defense Service Medal was awarded to people already on active duty when WWII started. Start date is in 1939 and end date is 7 Dec 1941. Also the stack is completely jacked. The Combat Action Ribbon is a personal award and should have been above everything else in the stack, and I believe the American Defense should be between the Good Conduct and the National Defense, although the likelihood of encountering anyone with both the ADSM and NDSM is pretty slim.
The sad thing is even though Marines don't consider him a Marine, the VA does and to the best of my knowledge he is actually eligible for VA benefits because he spent over 90 days on active duty.
