To Whom it May Concern:
This letter is to inform your office and the appropriate authorities of a situation that is untenable and that must be corrected immediately. A former US Marine, Leonard ” Mac ” McQuown , allegedly founded a charitable organization called Operation Walk America. I use the term allegedly because by all indication, he is using the “organization” as a ruse to solicit funds and convert them to personal use. I urge you to conduct an investigation and if your office determines that what I and others believe to be true is in fact occurring, we request that your office take immediate action to get Mr. McQuown to cease and desist.
I believe Mr. McQuown was given a Bad Conduct Discharge. He claims that he was a Sergeant in the USMC, but research discloses that he was given a Bad Conduct Dischrge and was demoted to the rank of Private First Class (it appears that he was dismissed from the USMC and reduced in rank due to being a deserter – over 200 days of unauthorized absence). Mr. McQuown was also convicted of check fraud and shoplifting. Undeterred, Mr. McQuown wears his USMC uniform in public. This is clear violation of MCO P 1020.34GIS which states that only retired service members and veterans who were honorably discharged may wear the uniform of a branch of the United States military. Mr. McQuown abridges this regulation frequently and should be made to stop.
In addition, Mr. McQuown launched Operation Walk America (OWA) more than two years ago. This organization purports to be a private nonprofit organization that raises funds to provide financial assistance to charities that focus on providing benefits to veterans. OWA, and, therefore, Mr. McQuown, promotes its cause by attempting to walk to every state capitol in the country, a total of approximately 15,000 miles. To date, OWA has never held a press conference to disclose the recipient of donated funds nor has it released any statements regarding the beneficiaries of collected monies. Based on information and belief, Mr. McQuown has embezzled the donated funds and converted them to his personal use. He has used the funds for hotel rooms, multiple gifts and to pay for a cruise to Hawaii to visit the state capitol there. At the very least, he has commingled the funds, which would also be a breach of his fiduciary duty.
I humbly request that your office look into this matter at your very earliest convenience. Conversely, if your office is not the appropriate agency to investigate the matter, I would reques that your office forward this statement to a more appropriate entity or individual. Mac McQuown is disgracing not only himself, but also the US Marine Corps and the thousands of men and women in uniform who proudly serve our great nation. You must prevent him from doing that.

While I have never met Mac , I was a big supporter of his when he first started his “walk” I bought one of his over priced para cord bracelets and urged a number of my friends to do so as well . Then the truth about Mac's Service & Discharge started to come out .I witnessed Mac not just evading the questions , but flat out lying to everyone about everything . Mac then contacted me on FB after I had commented on a page that was not flattering to him . Mac flat out lied to me as he stated that ” Stole Valor had investigated and cleared him “.
After sharing Macs DateHookUp Profile I received a number of messages from outraged ladies whom Mac was stringing along for funds and internet sex chat . Mac swore to each of them that they were “The Only One ” for him . Needless to say these ladies are now aware that Mac is a con artist and a sexual deviant .
Quite frankly Mac is a lying SOS and his “walk” is nothing but a front for him to feed his ego and his deviant life style .
Mac has spent more time off the road than on . He left Pearl Mississippi on October 15th 2013 ( Chief Carl Kibby of the Pearl FD put him on a bus headed to his sister's home in Ocala ) Mac resumed his “walk” on January 14th vowing to spend each and every night in his tent . That hasn't happened as he has spent the majority of his nights in private homes and hotels . I Mac's next stated destination is Baton Rouge ( a distance of 172 miles ) yet he has failed to reach that goal as of 2/21/2014 . Mac would have been there by now if he “walked” even 5 miles a day .
Based on all the evidence available Mac is a liar , con artist and a womanizer who is using his walk as an excuse to avoid getting a job , to feed his ego and find fresh victims for his deviant life style .
Have you ever known a true Marine who didn't believe in free speech? Me neither. When I became suspicious of this EX-Marine was when I questioned where the money from this walk was going and what homeless vets were benefiting from it. My question was courteous and just an inquiry. Mac wrote to me off the list and told me that if I was going to “harrass” him, he was blocking me and unfriending both me and my husband.
Since that time, I've discovered many too many negative things regarding this poser to ever think he's honorable. He's scamming a LOT of good people out of a LOT of their good money. And, he's spending it on less than honorable things….the consensus is mostly porn, booze, woman and drugs. BEWARE!!!

First off, you have to understand the mindset of McPerve. Most Con Artists thinks they are smarter than the average person is. They believe they can talk or write themselves out of trouble. I was just reading the latest post regarding McClown’s story about the man who drove over an hour to give McFatty $10.00 and how he latter found a man with a cardboard sign asking for help and he gave that man the $10.00. How sweet, problem is, it’s all a bunch of bullshit just like McStupid’s life. McDumbDumb has always been an underachiever not accomplishing much in his pathetic existence. I would venture to say that his fraudulent walk is not the first Con that McGasBag has been involved in. The damage he has done and continues to do to the legitimate and needy veterans causes is irreparable. Most good and decent people become very guarded once they realized they have been duped by the McAnalLeakage’s of the world. I share with all the good people and honorable veterans the frustration and anger experienced while watching and reading about his antics. They disgust me to no end and at times, I wished I could reach through my laptop and slap some sense into him. However, we must exercise patience and refrain from any threats because he is the type of person to use it to his advantage. The longer he is allowed to engage in his illegal activities the better. I know there will be collateral damage but let’s hope it is limited by the efforts of the facebook page Mxx Mxxxxxx Marine Deserter Con Artist. He always challenges the group to prove beyond blah blah blah. McCutandRun held all the cards making it almost impossible to prove the things needed to place him and his cohorts where they belong. Nevertheless, something tells me the events that unfolded in the last two days equal PROBABLE CAUSE. And, with that you can utilize all the tools for a proper investigation.
I called the office of Louisiana’s states Attorney General today and much to my surprise I spoke with a representative of Mr. Caldwell (Attorney General).
I will summarize our conversation because this is getting rather lengthy.
She said;
1) The AG’s office had been notified of McHerpes some weeks earlier. (someone has been doing their homework)
2) The AG’s office is aware of the Baton Rouge interviews
3) The AG’s office is aware of Raven Outreach’s response
4) The AG’s office is aware of McLiar’s explanation of events.
Beyond that, she could not discuss it any further. She asked me for my name and phone number and said she would call me if there were further developments.
