This guy was in my unit, in the Army, in the 1985 – 1986 timeframe. He was not, at that time, a soldier who appeared to have Special Forces selection in his future.
He has not aged well.
Odd that “Master Sergeant Robert Duane” has a name that is so similar to “Jerry's” brother, whose name is Robert Duane Rud. both are SCUMBAGS!

I too served with “jerry” between 1985-1986 while he was stationed with 2/32 Light inf., 7th Division, Fort Ord. I have serious questions about the legitimacy of the dd-214 posted on this site and believe it has been tampered with for the following reason: at the time that I knew him he was a PFC (E-3) and not an E-1, far cry from the E-7 claimed in the alleged VA form; we completed jungle training as a unit in Panama at Fort Sherman and he wore on his BDUs an EIB, which he earned in basic training. None of these items are listed on the 214…”anonymous” can substantiate these things.
it should be equally noted that I find it hard to believe that “jerry” would perpetuate this type of deception because I always knew him to eager to get out of his uniform and socialize with the civilian population.
I last seen “jerry” with a cast on his left arm and in a sling while engaged in Operation JustCause in Panama, but when I asked him what he was doing there, he responded: ” I really don't want to talk about it.” respecting his privacy I made no further inquires. I also know that he left the unit because he was being bullied and harassed by a Sgt. Randolf (his squad leader and a real piece of S***) and a SFC Elibosang (his platoon Leader). I am not sure what happened to him since and would be interested in hearing his side of the story. I know that he wanted to go to Ranger school, was well able to pass the physical component, since he maxed his APRT, but was being deliberately blackballed by the two previous mentioned individuals because Jerry refused to bend to their will.
I wasn’t aware you could earn an EIB in basic training, wouldn’t you have to have gone through infantry training first? I think you are as big a bullshitter as he is,,,
