not to bright i take it. i was a marine 64-68 but don't take a marine to just look at how discombobulated the uniform is. If he wanted to be a marine why not just join it instead of the navy…lol And what the hell is rank praa ? never much on navy ranks.
Can't believe he has run around dressed like that and never questioned and then made to strip off that uniform and go home in his skivvies.

Discharge signed in March 2009 by George W. Bush, Commander in Chief. And I thought I was in denial about the change in the chain of command.

    hi Angelwatch,
i thought a civi lying (fabricating enrollment history) or even worse,a service man exagurating his rank or deployment, for instance a lance who HAS a uniform but, let's say no combat history, says he's a…sergeant ,staff or gunny, whatever (just to boast himself up a few) fabricates some combat engagement to steal some valor, claim some heroism, some sorta story like that (civis do it all the time, like for example; work in the mailroom, and tell chicks he's a exectutive)-
for a serviceman that would be very highly punishable,. do you know something??
and this guy even forged documants..!!:?!:? i mean wether he's just boasting his rank or never was enrolled, my question is; is'nt this a crime? punishable by law? please lemmy know . Jim

    hi Chief,
it's been long ago,but i was told never to lie what so ever, meaning never make any false claims about rank, deployment history or claim heroism and valor (since that happens with civilians all the time, they might just be the smallest employee but brag that they're boss of something)
i was told never to add anything on to my rank and or enrollment and deployment history, not even to wear my combat uniform in my passtime since i could go to jail for years (because wearing the uniform regardless-fatigues or service or even parade-means you are ON duty, so that's a lie right there- do you know about this?? please respond, sincierly Jim

How often does a marine receive the army commendation medal (green and white ribbon on left)???

  9. Anonymous says:

Actually that is the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal. They look similar since both are suspended from a green and white ribbon. The Army version though has a single white stripe going down the middle of the ribbon.

  10. Jumpmaster says:

Agreed, that is the N&MCCM. But it is possible for a member of one service to receive a medal from another service if they're serving with them. I've had a few of my Marines earn Army Achievement and Commendation medals for either temporary, augmentation support or because they served full time billets at Army posts – instructors at schools.
